When does it happen? Innovation for Creativity

My interest in Innovation for Creativity really got started when my work with eStara, the leader in Click to Call Technology coincided with a job I was working on with an interactive advertising agency which is now called : Cherry and Cake. It is still one of the best examples to see how innovation can really inspire Creatives to produce something unique which blew away most of the Ad execs at the time. I realize this may have been a case of me, doubling as Sales Consultant and Account Director… Continue

Read what motivates people to become a member of our community!

"Technology benefits our lives but should not develop in isolation. I believe that using technology to address both business & social issues breaks down barriers, empowers people... We all benefit. 20+ years in the technology world means I have seen many changes but the best solutions to issues remain focused on people. I use these principles in my role today as well as in past jobs and want to network with other enthusiasts." Andi Willmott, NetEvidence (SLM) LTd, United Kingdom "I d… Continue

Innovators need to speak out to creatives

I just wanted to add this blog post to motivate innovators to increase their contribution to our community. This is a mixed community with a very specific role: To create a dialog between the creative professions and technology innovators. When I was in high school I was one of those kids who abhorred having to take science and math not only did I struggle to pass tests and exams, none of my teachers ever considered I could have an aptitude for their subjects. On the other hand I excelled in th… Continue

The Broadcaster Supermarket – switching from brand centric to product centric marketing strategies

13 April From the National Association of Broadcasters Expo: Las Vegas Today I spent some time trying to get a good take on what industry experts thought about how to run a successful business based on the various forms of internet television, be it IPTV or video casting. This being an international show I was pretty sure that I would be presented by a bunch of creative new “out of the box” ideas but alas, no such luck. Why does it seem as if broadcasters have built marketing empires aro… Continue

Tivo - You Tube agreement marks evolution of bringing Internet TV into the living room

"Pick up the remote, turn on the television — and watch YouTube. The user experience envisioned by technology enthusiasts came a step closer to reality on Wednesday when TiVo, the maker of popular digital video recorders, announced a partnership with YouTube that will deliver Web video directly to users’ televisions. “TiVo’s strategy is to bridge the gap between Web video and television and make as much content available as possible for our subscribers,” said Tara Maitra, the vice president an… Continue

UPDATED : Interactive Video Advertising Providers

It is becoming increasingly clear that the future of television is undeniably connected to the evolution of interactive video advertising. I’d like to share with you a short excerpt from the 2007 Entertainment, Media & Advertising Market Research Handbook. “Never has the advertising industry – whose best known product remains the 30 second commercial – faced such wide ranging threats. How not to: Facebook Advertising

Never has one of my blog posts been sent into obsolescence quite this quickly. No sooner had we posted a How to Advertise on Facebook overview by Matthew Peters, the controversial Facebook program Beacon is to be no more.

Facebook executives can be accused of perhaps being a little overzealous this time around. The advertisers wet dream is turning into an executive nightmare for our friends at Facebook who are forced to return to the drawing board after more than 50,000 complaints from… Continue

The Facebook Advertising Network Beacon is fairly new to me so recently I posed the following question on LinkedIn Ask to achieve an early assesment on its functionality and ROI. I didnt get many answers however I did get one great answer which was posted by Mr. Matthew Peters a co-founder at Pandemic Labs in Boston.

My Question:
Does anyone have any experience using the Face Book Ad campaign application?
I would like to know what the results have been and how yo… Continue

1st I4C meeting Milano 8th November

I4C held the first of its meetings in Milan on the 8th of November 2007. I am very pleased to say 15 of our members joined us for the traditional Italian aperitivo kindly arranged by Pasquale Monteleone from PR firm Hill & Knowlton. It may be no coincidence that nearly 40% of our members are Italian, Design and Italy are synonymous in many ways, the natural aptitude for style and passion and respect for their artistic heritage is something which lives on in deeply rooted tradition.

Visual performance scores for online ads

I have spent some time researching the attitudes of SME on applying internet in a business growth strategy. SME’s actually do not use much of the Internet for advertising or to establish new distribution channels.

However, SME’s do recognize the importance of the internet in their business strategy to benefit from growth opportunities it presents. In fact SME’s consider the Internet as a vital contributor fo

Do we need Flickr importing on I4C??

I have the possibility to add the ability to import slideshows and pictures from Flickr.

However I was wondering if you people would actually see any value added in this? Also considering their is already the option to upload pictures one by one on I4C itself.

Thanks for your feedback!
